Message

Self-motivation is the force that pushes you to go on in spite of life’s challenges. This force comes from within to drive you towards achieving set goals without yielding to self-pity, self-harm or pushing blames to others. Christian youths need to learn from King David, who in his distressing situation encouraged himself in the Lord. Self-motivation is an essential component of emotional intelligence because without it you can be overwhelmed by the challenges of life and give up.

Youths are to look up to God for the grace to stand firm on their Christian conviction in the face of persecution or mockery from fellow students in school. Self-motivation will give you courage and faith in God who cannot fail. Are you being confronted with challenges – sickness, failure or poverty? Don’t give up. Sing when your trials are greatest and trust in the Lord. The fierce battle you are facing now will soon be over if you believe and stay motivated. Endeavour to give your life to Christ if you have not done so yet.
