“It Is For Your Good”
Monday, June 17, 2024Key Verse
“And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the L ORDour God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.” Deuteronomy 6:24
Text — Deuteronomy 6:22-25
Message
A certain man worked in a particular company. After many years of work, the company planned to reward him. He was to be given a new house, a new car and other gifts. The man was given a large sum of money to build a very beautiful house. He did not know that the house was for him and his family. He did a bad work and used low quality materials for the building. He finished the house and even gave some money back to the company.
A few days after, he was invited with his family for a retirement party. He was very sad when the house he built was given to him. He thought the house was for another person. Like Moses was telling the children of Israel, you must understand that your obedience to God is for your own good. The blessings are directly for you. Your righteousness can take only you to heaven. Do not act as if you are godly for the good of another person. You must quickly obey whatever God commands you to do. It is for your good.
