“Believers’ Debt To Sinners”
Saturday, February 1, 2025Key Verse
“I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise. So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also” (Romans 1:14, 15).
Text —Romans 1:11-17
Message
Apostle Paul’s passion for souls made him to declare that he was a debtor to various people. A similar passion was found in Ruth Elton. She was born on September 7, 1933 in Britain. At age two she came to Nigeria with her missionary parents, Rev. S. G. Elton and Hannah Elton. They settled in Ilesha for the gospel work. Ruth was later brought up in Okene and also became a missionary, serving in the present day, Kogi, Ondo, Oyo and Osun States of Nigeria. She speaks English, Ebira, Hausa, Igbo, and Yoruba well. She has no husband and no child but preached and brought many children into God’s kingdom. She sacrificed all for God’s kingdom. The title of one of her three books is, “The Gospel of the Kingdom.” She is ninety one years old, living in Ilesha.
Friend, do you have passion for the lost? Are you pained by the torment awaiting them in hell? You owe the Gospel to sinners. Like Apostle Paul and Ruth, preach the gospel to sinners in your home, school and neighbourhood for their salvation.
