Message
Adolescence is a period between childhood and adulthood during which significant social, biological, psychological, emotional, and spiritual changes occur; it is heralded by the onset of puberty and extends to the late teens. One of the features of adolescence is puberty which is a stage in which a teenager may attain biological maturation and becomes capable of reproduction but not physically and emotionally mature for marriage and procreation.
This period comes with a lot of challenges and requires carefulness to avoid youthful lust. Many unguided youths are unable to control the pressure of temptations that are characteristic of this stage. This is the stage when one should guard against lust in the heart as that could culminate in fornication, and other forms of impurity. Remember King David’s son, Amnon! Adolescents are advised to consult their godly parents or mature believers for proper counselling if they are confused about the biological and emotional changes that they may go through in this phase of life. They are also to avoid negative peer pressures that could lead to wrong decisions, and that could jeopardize their general health.
