Message
Shin-no-Shiko was a Chinese king who was one of the most able and powerful rulers in Chinese history. He built large palaces, and also the famous Great Wall of China. He had everything in the world he could wish for, but despite all his happiness, luxury, the splendour of his Court, the wisdom of his councillors and the glory of his reign, he was miserable because he knew that one day, he must die and leave it all behind. He constantly wished for the ‘Elixir of Life’ that would make him immortal. Culled from the book, ‘The Man Who Did Not Wish to Die.’
Unfortunately, there is no ‘Elixir of Life.’ Death is inevitable. Nobody can out-smart or out-wit death. It is appointed unto men once to die. But the question is, after death, what then? For believers in Christ Jesus, whose sins have been judged on the cross of Calvary, there will be resurrection to eternal life. For those who reject the love of God, there will be judgment and damnation. Where do you belong? Surrender to Jesus today.
